Service rebates

You may be entitled to rebates

Under our Customer Contract, you may be entitled to rebates for different reasons. In most cases, you'll automatically receive a rebate on your next bill. See our full Customer Contract or summary Customer Contract for more details.

  • If your water services are interrupted by planned work for more than 5 hours, you'll receive a $23 rebate.
  • If your water services are interrupted by unplanned work for more than 5 hours, you'll receive a $46 rebate.
  • If you have 3 or more unplanned water service interruptions (each lasting over one hour) in a year, your full water service charge, less any concessions, will be rebated for the following 12 months.
  • If your water pressure is lower than our standard at the point of connection for one hour continuously, you'll receive a $46 rebate. This rebate will only be paid for one event each quarter and not when it's because of a supply interruption.
  • If wastewater overflows onto your property because our wastewater system has failed, you'll receive an $87 rebate. If it happens again within 12 months, you'll receive a $174 rebate.
  • If wastewater overflows onto your property more than twice in a year because our wastewater system has failed, you'll receive a rebate for your full wastewater service charge, less any concessions, for the following 12 months.
  • If a problem in our water system stops us from supplying clean water suitable for normal household purposes, you'll receive a $46 rebate.
  • If NSW Health issues a boil water alert due to a Sydney Water fault, you'll receive a $58 rebate.

If you experience injury, loss or damage
If you've been injured or your property has been lost or damaged because of work we've done, we will investigate. You may be eligible to claim for damages.
