Kurnell Project Liaison Group

Sydney's Desalination Project Liaison Group provides an important forum for Sydney Water, its contractors and alliance partners to work with representatives of the local community to minimise impacts and concerns in the Kurnell area. Eight community representatives were chosen after a public call for nominations in December 2007. These representatives attend meetings on a monthly basis for the duration of the project.

The aim of the group is to encourage open communication about the project, address key community issues or concerns, provide feedback to members of the group and to seek community input to project issues, where possible.

The group's Terms of Reference (PDF - 42KB) provide an overview of the group and how it operates. The group is chaired by an independent chairperson and group members were chosen through an open nomination process.
