Approvals

Building Plans	Application for approval of building/development plans to check if the proposed construction affects Sydney Water's pipes, structures or assets.
Watermain Connection (20 mm – 25mm)	Application for an Accredited Supplier or Sydney Water to make a connection to a Sydney Water watermain. See Accredited Drillers

Applications

Billing Record Search	A search of Sydney Water's archived financial records (up to five years).
Accept/reject quote	Payment for a quote of costs provided by Sydney Water to carry out works or for the provision of a service (eg insert fire service, lower/raise manhole, review hydraulic plans etc)
Cancel Plumbing Permit	Request to cancel original plumbers application (permit) to carry out plumbing or drainage works.
Concrete Encasement Supervision	Request for Sydney Water to supervise the encasement of an existing Sydney Water sewer by an accredited supplier. See also Accredited Sewer Constructors
Disuse of Sewer	Investigate the feasibility of disusing an existing Sydney Water sewer.
Extended Private Service	Investigate the feasibility of permitting an extended private water service, to provide a point of connection.
Lamphole/Rodding Point Adjustment	Application for Sydney Water to lower or raise the surface level of an existing lamphole or rodding point.
Maintenance Hole Adjustment	Application for Sydney Water to lower or raise the surface level of an existing sewer maintenance hole/manhole.
Permit to work	Permit application to do plumbing or sanitary plumbing and drainage works (submitted by a licensed plumber).
Pier Supervision	Request for Sydney Water to carry out supervision of building works in close proximity to Sydney Water's pipes, to determine if approved requirements have been met.
Plumbing and Drainage Inspection	Plumbing and drainage inspections are done by NSW Fair Trading. Inspection fees are paid at Quick Check agents.
Plumbing and Drainage Quality Assurance	Application fee for audit based plumbing and sanitary plumbing and drainage inspections.
Pump Application - water	Request or approval to install a pump on the private water or fire service serving a property.
Pump to Sewer	Request for approval to pump raw sewage or effluent to a private sewer house service line or a Sydney Water sewer.
Request for Asset Construction Details	Request for a plan showing water, sewer, recycled water or stormwater assets. These plans show measurements from assets to property boundaries, specific construction details and survey information (including work orders, long sections, benchmarks etc)
Review of Hydraulic Plans	Application for Sydney Water to examine hydraulic drawings to ensure compliance of the sanitary plumbing and drainage installation with relevant codes and plumbing regulations.
Service Protection	Inspection of a building site to peg-out/identify the location of Sydney Water's pipes and structures, to avoid damage during construction activities and enable the determination of building requirements. See Accredited Service Protection Suppliers
Sewer Junction Connection	Application for an Accredited Supplier or Sydney Water to insert an additional junction in Sydney Water's sewer. See Accredited Sewer Constructors
Sewer Sideline Connection	Application for an accredited supplier or Sydney Water to install an unsurveyed sideline (property connection sewer) from Sydney Water's sewer into the property to provide a point of connection. See Accredited Sewer Constructors
Special Date of Connection	Enquiry to determine the date of connection of the property to Sydney Water's sewer.
Statement of Available Pressure and Flow	Water pressure certificate detailing relative water pressures in Sydney Water's watermains, requested by customers intending to install a private water or fire service, or install a water pump on an existing private water or fire service.
Supply System Diagram	Plan of Sydney Water pipes, structures and sewer points of connection, covering a large area in a single print/plot.
Watermain Connection Approval (32 mm – 65 mm)	Request for approval for a water service between 32 mm – 65 mm, to connect to Sydney Water's watermains for the purpose of domestic, fire sprinkler, fire hydrant or fire drenchers.
Watermain Connection Approval (>80 mm Tee and Valve)	Request for approval for a water service >80 mm, to connect to Sydney Water's watermains for the purpose of domestic, fire sprinkler, fire hydrant or fire drenchers.
Watermain connection (25 mm >)	Application for an Accredited Supplier or Sydney Water to make a large connection to a Sydney Water watermain once approved has been obtained See listed driller
Watermain Fitting Adjustment	Application for Sydney Water to investigate the feasibility of lowering or raising a watermain surface fitting. Work to be carried out by an Accredited Supplier.
Water Inspection Fee – alternate water supply	Request for Sydney Water to review the proposed connection to an alternate water source such as bore water, grey water etc.
